Below are some of the custom motors and drives that have led to our customer's success. We will break down what is custom with these motors and why they may help in a particular industry. This is not a full representation of our capabilities. We have left out the company name and part number of these motors to help protect our clients.

This motor is used in the Healthcare Industry, in close proximity to MRI and other highly magnetic field machines. The FP (slotless) motor construction with its low ferrous content was a must-have when the customer was performing risk assessment during scheduled maintenance. The other customizations on this motor were to reduce system costs along with ease of assembly in multiple countries.

This motor is used in the Warehouse Automation Industry as a traction drive motor in an AGV. The FP (slotless) motor construction with its high peak torque and fast speeds outperformed the competition. This motor is run constantly to its max potential and is regulated by its two thermistors. Due to its high duty cycle, the encoder needed to be mounted externally to reduce heat dissipation to the electronics. The reduced tolerance flange makes certain that the gearbox and motor mount flawlessly and reduces noise and vibration when run at high speeds.

This motor is used in the Semiconductor Industry as a wafer motor. The BL motor construction has low inertia allowing highly dynamic motion. This motor uses its hollow shaft coupled to a vacuum line to pick up the wafers and spin them to evenly distribute the chemicals.

These motors were designed as Prototypes to be a family offering for a special customer that loved and only used Posital Encoders. This project led us to start offering Posital encoders as an option for our different motor lines.

These motors are designed as kit motors to be assembled into a Specialty Machine by the customer using their own mounting system and feedback (or sensorless). These motors are a great way to reduce component cost and weight. Kit motors are available from most of our servo motor familes.

This motor was outfitted with an external brake for easy maintenance. This controls a lifting application where a safety brake is needed in situations where power is lost.

This hub motor was built using the BR torque motor series and was designed to be lightweight and compact. This style of hub motor can be used in a wide variety of Traction Motor applications and can be made in 3 different sizes.

This motor is used in the Sustainable Wind Energy Industry as a wind mill blade pitch motor. The FP motor construction has high peak torque allowing fast initial start movements. This motor uses its hollow shaft for cable pass through.

This may look like a typical PAC HP drive on the outside but on the inside, it has custom firmware. We offer custom firmware on our whole range of drive families including the PAC HP, and Easy AC / DC drives. Custom Firmwares can range from simple tasks like adding a scalar multiplier block within the Cyclic Synchronous Torque operation for higher resolution commands, sensorless feedback operation, or field weakening/cogging compensation.
